Thursday morning is Coffee Morning
It is a great opportunity to come along and chat to friends in a comfortable and friendly environment and maybe make new friends.
Coffee Morning is from 10.30 am to 12 noon on Thursdays, held at Stonebroom Methodist Church, High Street, Stonebroom.
Light refreshments are on offer. Sometimes we are treated to Harry’s coffee and walnut cake, or June’s home made scones and perhaps other goodies. Biscuits are always available.
If you are new to the area then do come along and make some new friends and find out more about Stonebroom and the surrounding villages. To find out where we are visit our location page on this website. We are on the number 55 bus route, and the bus stops are not far away from the church.
Perhaps you have lived in Stonebroom for many years but never paid us a visit but just want to get out more and widen your horizons and/or meet new people.
Facilities at the church include: parking on site with disabled parking too; toilets including a disabled toilet; a wide entrance to the building to accommodate mobility scooters and wheelchairs; comfortable seating inside and of course a choice of light refreshments.
If you would like to speak to someone before you come along,
you can telephone Mary Stone on 01773 832534 for more details.
Coffee Morning supports the Alpha and Omega school in Uganda where children can receive an education enabling social mobility in their community and lifting them out of poverty. From time to time items donated in aid of this project are displayed on a table during coffee morning and are available for purchase. You can pick up a bargain at the same time as helping the Alpha and Omega school.
For information about how Coffee Morning and other activities have supported the
Alpha and Omega school, click here to view the
Alpha & Omega School webpage on this website.
There is a slide show of the items
sent out to Uganda in 2014.
